As part of the west's military assistance to Ukraine, a significant number of Ukranian troops are being trained abroad by the United States and across Europe. In December 2022, the United States announced it was training around 500 troops per month on various advanced weapon systems. As part of the Euroepan Union's military assistance mission, approximately 15,000 troops are expected be to be trained over 24 months. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom aims to train around 10,000 Ukrainians every 120 days, as part of the British military's Operation Interflex.
